A blog about being a young widow navigating grief, motherhood, falling in love and rebuilding a life that is worth living
I broke down my blog entries into categories during my grief journey. There is no time stamp on any of these categories and you can move interchangeably between them. You can even go through these again years out.
Moments of grief are measured by breath:
I Can't Breathe - The blow that knocks the wind right out of you and makes you gasp. The moments in grief where you are shocked and can't catch your breath.
Not Holding My Breath - Not expecting anything out of life to happen for a very long time. Everyone thinks you are okay and seem to be living. Don't hold your breath! There is no living going on right now.
Breathe In, Breathe Out - Controlled breathing helps keep your mind and body functioning at their best. Signifying taking control of your life and your story. At a pace that works best for you.
Take My Breath Away - Those moments in life where we feel it. We are living in the moment and can appreciate this life of ours and all we've been through. Those awesome and momentous moments where we gasp out of fascination.
